Pendle Summit
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
Lower Ogden Reservoir
A pleasant evening walk started from Barley. Earlier in the day, we had been over near Grassington and this was a chance to march on at a pace and gain a little altitude.
Upper Ogden Reservoir
Meadow Pipit
Golden Plover
Two of the many upland visitors to Pendle's higher reaches. Nesting during this time, it is essential that their breeding grounds are undisturbed, walkers and their dogs should keep to the paths. Any form of activity in the long grass and away from the paths could threaten the wildlife up here.
Pendle Summit
I'm here well before sunset and in solitude.
