~Pendle Hill~
4th November 2013
Pendle Summit
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
Late Sunshine
Roadside start at 15:30hrs, the first of the post-clock change, finish work early Pendle ascents.
Long Distance Views
On the left is Blacko Tower and Foulridge Reservoir (lower); on the right is Wild Boar Fell - seldom seen clearly from here.
Setting Sun
It had been a bit of a gamble coming up at this time because I had seen large clouds out to the west. Heavy showers either side of the Ribble Estuary, but an interesting sunscape inbetween.

Summit View
That's 46 so far this year. One a week from here on would take the total to 53, but I usually come up more often if the air is clear and crisp or if there is snow on the ground; less if it's wet and windy.
Shower Cloud
Somewhere near the Fylde coast is encountering rain. That's Beacon Fell between me and the shower.
Sky Drama
Sunshine, rain and crepuscular rays!
