Two more opportunities to get wet. Firstly on Saturday 29th I parked at Cotton Tree, near Trawden. Luckily I was able to aquire Izzy the Dog, without her there is a probability I wouldn't have bothered! It's raining and wellies are essential.

The walk from Cotton Tree to Wycoller is a really fine walk. Ball Grove is a Nature Reserve and boards tell you what to look out for. I saw ducks and lots of water.

Wycoller Beck

Either that pipe is getting longer or the bank is eroding. The scene was quite different two years ago:

I left home at about 13:15hrs and it was pouring down. At the level crossing, I was able to photo the scene (engine off, of course). A little later and it was still raining at the roadside for the Pendle ascent.

The Steps doubled as a stream, with water pouring off the hillside and onto the path.

The puddle is getting ever larger. Up here, the breeze has strengthened but the rain has ceased.
