Pendle Summit

Mammatus Cloud
I watched the weather at various times during the afternoon and decided it was worth a look at Pendle. We'd had a thunderstorm and I hopd for some dramatic skies with rainbows. In view are "mammatus" clouds, the lumpy bits under the main cloud.
Pendle Hill
I will climb approx 730ft from the roadside, my last climb - Ben Nevis involved about six times that figure, but the training ground is right here. Without the weekly Pendle climbs, I'd struggle to climb the higher fells.
Black Moss
Shower clouds heading across West Yorkshire.
The Sunset
An obliging cloud in just about the right place. A little reflection on the Ribble Estuary.

Looking West
A good walk, as usual. Approaching the time of year when I will excuse myself from work to get up Pendle before the sun goes down.
